Everybody else caught wind of this yesterday, but I was out doing stuff. Plus, I’m not on really operating on true blogger status like many of my Hip-Hop news brethren. None the less, I managed to squeeze out a little bit of time while I was waiting for a call to post this image of Kanye fixin’ to get his head cut off in a very symmetrical way.

I don’t know who directed the video, but I’m both in awe at the surreal imagery and disappointed at its substandard (for anybody but Kanye) length. You no doubt saw the Flashing Lights video. That was also cut short; these videos are probably meant to be ‘video as art’-types of experiences. So be it, but I’m sure it would’ve been cool to have Ye walking around for the rest of the video with his head cut off. His critics might’ve applauded that portion, too.
I ain’t shoutin out nobody for this one; it’s on YouTube.

You ever notice some people have a tendency to try to moderate the attitudes and temperaments of EVERYONE around them? In my office, we are all adults, and it isn’t any one’s job to monitor anyone else’s mood. So, this morning, my co worker starts eating something for breakfast in our cube: cereal. I make a light comment about it since we’ve had previous conversation about how she wants to eat something different in the mornings but never remembers to get anything else.

But instead of following in the previous thread of our breakfast food banter, she proceeds to extol the virtues of this Particular cereal and insist that I must taste it–dry. Now if I Wanted cereal, I would have brought some. So, anyway, I say no thank you. Not only have I eaten it before, I KNOW I prefer another kind, and I’ve already eaten my tasty breakfast treat.
Well what do you know but the Mood Moderator, hops into the convo and proceeds to agree on how tasty the cereal is and ooh how I should try it! I did say I had tasted it before didn’t I? I remember, shouldn’t she? But no, now I’m being attitudinal because I said no thank you and I don’t want it.

Really?!
I ABHOR people telling me what I mean, how I feel, or what I think. If I was ticked, its because you’re putting more on it. I even had to blog about it!

I’m studying this week. Don’t really have time to blog and all that. Sorry folks. Here’s a rundown of some things I’ve been keeping track of though:
I’ll try to set some time aside next week for sketching out the next strip. The good news is, the script is written. That was a big deal…you’ll see why. Hope you like it when it does finally come off the virtual presses. Till next time…peace.

Hey, it’s been a minute since I’ve been around, but I just had to poke my head in for this one:

Initiative.
Wyclef Jean is reportedly running for president of his native Haiti. AllHipHop’s exclusive source tells them that the official announcement should come about on Thursday, August 5th. I think this is a great boon for the people of Haiti, because nobody seems to care more about Haiti in the public eye then my man Wyclef. And who else would you want running a country except the person(s) that cares the most about it?
It’s also great because, I mean, there are a lot of potential revolutionary things to come out of a Wyclef presidency. Terms are five years there, and a president can serve up to two terms, so that’s a potential 10 years of Mr. Jean running ish. A lot can be changed in 10 years. That the man has built a fortune in his lifetime is no small matter either, since Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the developing world. Making money commerce is something that would be great for him to have oversight of (indirectly, by way of good treasury and commerce appointments of course).
All I can say is hopefully he fixes the education and healthcare first.
FYI: Still waiting for a window for me to work on the next strip. Be patient. Me too!

You are getting sleepy...and money is burning your pocket...
Earth Tones has a store, you know. I know that there’s not really much of a *brand* yet to be sold, but in the event you want anything out of the store, holla at this website. Some of you may recognize some of the designs from the strips themselves; more of you will buy things just because you like my merch.
So, feel free to stop by and check out the goods. There will certainly be more as time goes on. For a limited time only, the next person to buy a product from the store can get $5 off their purchase with the coupon code: 2010HJ4I8R. Use this now! Before the chick over there does! She looks like she likes that Iller Than Thou shirt…hurry!!!
