My database blew the kucf up today…or maybe a few days ago. Apparently I left the site to go try to live in real life for once, and when I come back to check out the predictably meager site stats, I got the dreaded

message, which for webmasters can be likened to the BSOD. Suffice it to say, I’ve been ticka-ticka’ing all night. This time, however…it wasn’t my fault! This time it jus–well, you know what? I’m sure if I traced it ALL THE WAY back to the source it probably was my fault somehow. Inadvertently and all that.

Anyway, new strip coming in a day or two.

Good morning people. Welcome to Earth Tones! The site looks a little different than it did prior to my accidental self-sabotage about 3 days ago. There’s not much more going on, however…it’s still pretty much just a site with links. No cool 3D animations, no site takeover ads, no videos…although I do have a webcam…hrm…maybe [...]

Edit: I apologize for the truncated posts between December 11th and January 13th. My database died on me, then released its bowels shortly thereafter. On me.

I’m just now recognizing that this website isn’t the friendliest with web browsers other than Google Chrome. I stopped using IE back in early ‘08 maybe, and I never really became a Firefox fan. Not to mention all of the video game consoles and mobile devices that have web browsers. For my users of these browsers, I apologize if you’ve come to the site and seen missing pictures, or shortened backgrounds, or anything that resembled a poorly-put-together site.

(this doesn’t include any design decisions I may have made that you don’t favor)

I’ll be taking a little time to try to get my browser compatibility up and flowing better in the next few…periods of time…, so you can wait until then or just get Google Chrome to get the full experience.
